In My Opinion

I have been doing some thinking and I came up with this...
Depression, which has plagued my family for years, has been on my mind. While working in a doctor's office I have noticed the tons of ppl that come in with this and I can't help but wonder what REALLY makes us depressed. Is it really a chemical imbalance? I am thinking, not always. If you want to judge me on what I am about to say then go ahead, I don't mind, it is just my way of thinking.
Let me begin by saying that I don't believe anyone can stay sexually attracted to one person their entire life. We are animals in my world and we as women are meant to look for the strongest, best possible mate, procreate, have the offspring, and then on to the next mighty beast (LOL). I commend the folks that stay with their mate their entire life, if they are really happy. I don't think it is possible. I have noticed that the majority of people I have observed are taking antidepressants, self medicating, pickeling themselves, or what have you.
When you meet someone new, the feeling arises, you know the one, butterflies swirling in your stomach, you can't eat , you are full of energy, and you are just plain happy. This being the time of nookie and such with your new mate. I know most people have felt this, I know I have and I miss it. Then maybe eventually are now pregnant (or not) and planning on spending the rest of your life with this person. Eventually, the new wears off, he or she starts farting on you, you grow more with age and then wham. One morning you feel like you just don't want to get out of bed and this progresses and eventually takes over your life. You go see the doctor if you have money or insurance or take care of business other ways if you don't care to see a doc then next thing you know, you are taking meds to counteract meds and such. Now I know this doesn't count for all types of depression, but to me it counts for alot. I don't know where I am going with this, I guess what I am trying to say is that if you are down in the dumps, go get some strange, LOL!
