Tuesday, March 14, 2006 Mr. Mac Well to begin today's happenings, I am going to talk about my 80 year old neighbor, Mac. He buried my dead donkey with his backhoe, he has fixed our gate, and has been there for us on many occasions including letting us fill up our tank with his well water! He is know as the "mayor" of Juan Tomas and also knows everyone and what everyone does-- but we do not let that hinder our relationship with him. About a few weeks ago, Mac, being a strong Christian man, advised us that this year would be the end of the world by his calculations! I thought about this and well, I just don't see it but maybe he is right. Today when going to the store, I saw he had put up a 20' pole with this huge sign. The sign had a broken hour glass with a cross by it, some black hole looking thing, these calculations of 600 x 10 a few times with the word score and topped with the American flag. I was freaked out!! I mean this guy has pet cows that are 2o years old for gawd's sake! Next, I accidentally bought BEEF bacon today at the store!! It is by far the best bacon I have tasted with less grease.. I was raised on a cattle feedyard and my dad always supported beef and didn't much like it when we bought chicken or pork. I need to call him, he'll be happy!! |
