Thursday, December 14, 2006 In Sadness.. Rip Dumas  So the neighbor's pitbulls finally came back to finish the job. They killed my Dumas last night and I am beside myself. Animal control came out this morning and CITED them again and told them we were pressing charges. Of course they said it wasn't "their" pitbulls. I suppose it was the other neighbor's poodles. The officer took pics but wasn't able to take the dogs until we went to court. I have called animal control for Bernalillo county 3 times since the first attack and they have record of going to the people's house, but no dogs out. It is like the dogs know when the catcher is coming, other than that, they are out all the time. Unfortunately we cannot be there to stand over our animals or our 10 acres 24-7 and shouldn't have to. I called the Attorney General today and the DA, all to no avail. I guess it will take a child getting killed before they do something.
