Thursday, September 08, 2005 Circus Dog Above are pics of Dutch aka Poop, Poopsie, Poopsie Daisy... We went on a great hike today and took these on our cigar and cracker break! I adopted Dutchie last Christmas from the humane society in Albuquerque. He was there with about 12 litter mates. Fitting in my hands, I carried him out to the play area to get to know him better. The first thing he did when I put him down was back his rear end up to me and sat. It was all over.. He still does this to this day. I grew up with Aussies which are cattle dogs and they have completely different attitudes, they go and herd. Poop's mother was a german shepherd and they tend to stay right by their master and protect them, as he does. So needless to say, he is the best hiking companion EVER! Think I will have him pack a bottle of wine on the next trip. Here's to many more miles!
